"Celebrating the bond of parents and children is a reoccurring theme in many of the original works I have created. I was driven to create these images after 1990 when my son Mandela was born. I am also curious about the subject of single parenting. I have many family and friends who tirelessly devote themselves as single parents. I am inspired by their perseverance."
